Literally 10 minutes before I started writing this post, I’d just finished watching “Air Force One” with my mom. That movie is so EPIC every single time I watch it, and I can’t help but always think about how dreamy, and manly Harrison Ford is as the president of the United States. Then it occured to me that the feeling/admiration of how dreamy and manly Harrison Ford is, happens EVERY TIME I watch his movies. No matter how terrible the movie might be, *cough* *Six Days, Seven Nights* *cough,* or cheesy (I fucking LOVE “Sabrina”) his sexy, manly presence always makes my lady parts tingle. Teehee. Oh yeah, and he’s a pretty good actor which makes the kindo lame movies even more bearable. Let’s take time to appreciate this man, who is big sexy all around. In no particular order, these are some of my fave H.F films:
1. Air Force One
Gary Oldman may have have a gun up to Harrison’s neck, but of course Harrison’s manliness overtakes Oldman’s crazy terrorist character and tells him to get the fuck off his plane.
2. Clear and Present Danger
It’s another one of those edge of your seat, action thriller movies where things explode, and he shoots tons of guns. Hawt.
3. Blade Runner
The costuming was awesome in this movie, as well as the sets/scenery/cinematography. I loved how dark mixed with neon to create a dirty looking future planet earth. Dudes, walking down Market St. at night makes me firmly believe this is where we’re heading.
4. Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom
Arguably the best film of the Indy franchise. It was actually really scary, gorey, and exciting. Therefore, it captivates me every time I watch it. That whole ripping the heart of out a dude’s chest was SUUUUPER gnarly and bad ass! Oh AND the whole manly adventurer thing, yeeeaahhh, I’m super into that.
5. Star Wars (all 3 of them)
Duh. This was the first H.F film I encountered with all the signatures that make me love him: smart ass with a big mouth? Check. Shoots his gun a lot? Check. Participates in an epic adventure? Check.
There are so many other H.F films I’ve enjoyed over my twenty six years of life: The Fugitive, Sabrina, Witness, and the list goes on. I guess what it comes down to is his ability to keep me on the edge of my seat, make me cry when something terrible happens, or make me blush when he’s being all cheesy and romantic. He’s an amazing actor that elicits those kinds of responses from his audiences. Welcome Harrison Ford, to the hall of Nerdnette Crushes!
